Read status and video URL
status | Meaning and action |
|---|---|
queued | Queued; query again later |
in_progress | Processing; query again later |
completed | Generation completed; read metadata.url |
failed | Generation failed; read any available error and stop polling |
unknown | Unrecognized task status; do not treat as success |
Store the response id; retrieval does not depend on the redundant creation field task_id. Do not infer success from progress, completed_at, or the presence of error. completed_at comes from the platform record update time; use status.
After success, save the video URL or use the video download API. This interface does not return native output/usage; see native retrieval for usage fields.
Polling and error handling
Poll about every 15 seconds and set an overall timeout. Queries read platform task records, so rapid repeats may return the same status. Stopping polling does not cancel generation.
For HTTP 400 with task_not_exist, confirm that the task ID belongs to the API site and use an API Key from the task owner's account. For HTTP 401, resolve authentication before querying again. Use status to determine whether generation succeeded.
